It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Isma'il, from Ayyub, from 'Ikrima — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited drinking directly from the mouth of a waterskin. Ayyub said: I was told that a man drank directly from the mouth of a waterskin and a snake came out.
