حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْ
رَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رِوَايَةً قَالَ مَرَّةً يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ أَحَدُكُمْ صَائِمًا فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ فَإِنْ امْرُؤٌ شَاتَمَهُ أَوْ قَاتَلَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj — traced to the Prophet ﷺ — and on another occasion [in a slightly different form]: 'When one of you rises in the morning while fasting, let him not engage in obscene speech [rafath] and let him not act in ignorance [yahjal]. If a man abuses him or fights him, let him say: "I am fasting."'
