English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Rib'i ibn Ibrahim, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq — from Muslim ibn Abi Muslim who said: I saw Abu Hurayra when we were young boys. Bedouins would come [to sell their goods], and [a city person would] say: 'O Bedouin, we will sell [them] for you.' He [Abu Hurayra] said: 'Leave him — let him sell his own goods.' Then Abu Hurayra said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade a city-dweller from selling on behalf of a Bedouin.'
