English Translation
Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, Abu Mawdud informed me, Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hadrad narrated to me who said: I heard Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you prays, let him place something in front of him. If he cannot find anything, let him place his staff. If he does not have a staff, let him draw a line, then nothing that passes in front of him will harm his prayer.'
