English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Rib'i ibn Ibrahim, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq, from Sa'id — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Three [practices] from the deeds of the people of Jahiliyya — the Muslims will not abandon them: wailing [al-niyaha over the dead], seeking rain through the stars [al-istisqa' bi-l-anwa'], and...' I [the narrator] asked Sa'id about the third, and he said: 'The [tribal] cry of Jahiliyya: "O clan of so-and-so! O clan of so-and-so! O clan of so-and-so!"'
