حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَج
ُلًا شَكَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَسْوَةَ قَلْبِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ إِنْ أَرَدْتَ تَلْيِينَ قَلْبِكَ فَأَطْعِمْ الْمِسْكِينَ وَامْسَحْ رَأْسَ الْيَتِيمِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Abu Kamil, from Hammad, from Abu 'Imran al-Jawni, from a man — that a man complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hardness of heart. He [the Prophet ﷺ] said to him: 'If you want to soften your heart, feed the poor and wipe [your hand over] the head of an orphan.'
