حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي قَدْ كَبِرْتُ وَ
لِي عِيَالٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَلَمْ تَرْكَبْ مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ بَعِيرًا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ إِلَّا قَوْلَهُ وَلَمْ تَرْكَبْ مَرْيَمُ بَعِيرًا

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Ibn al-Musayyab — that the Prophet ﷺ proposed to Umm Hani' bint Abi Talib. She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have grown old and I have dependents.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The best women who have ridden [camels] are the women of Quraysh — the most tender of them toward their children in [the children's] youth, and the most watchful of them over their husband's wealth.' Abu Hurayra said: 'And Maryam bint 'Imran never rode a camel.' [Also narrated via Ma'mar → Ibn Tawus → his father → Abu Hurayra from the Prophet ﷺ — similar, except without the statement about Maryam not riding a camel.]
