Hadith #543

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ
عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْنُ الْآخِرُونَ الْأَوَّلُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ نَحْنُ أَوَّلُ النَّاسِ دُخُولًا الْجَنَّةَ بَيْدَ أَنَّهُمْ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا وَأُوتِينَاهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ فَهَدَانَا اللَّهُ لِمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ مِنْ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِهِ فَهَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي هَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَهُ وَالنَّاسُ لَنَا فِيهِ تَبَعٌ غَدًا لِلْيَهُوَدِ وَبَعْدَ غَدٍ لِلنَّصَارَى
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'We are the last [in time], the foremost on the Day of Resurrection. We will be the first of all people to enter Paradise — except that they were given the Book before us and we were given it after them. Allah guided us by His permission to [the truth concerning] what they differed over. This is the day [Friday] to which Allah guided us, and people follow us in it — for the Jews it is tomorrow, and for the Christians the day after.'
