English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salama — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Hell complained to its Lord: "O Lord, parts of me are consuming other parts — relieve me!" So He permitted it two breaths each year. The most intense cold you feel is from the zamharir [extreme freezing cold] of Jahannam, and the most intense heat you feel is from the heat of Jahannam.'
