حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ع

َنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِذَا شَرِبَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِذَا شَرِبَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ثُمَّ إِذَا شَرِبَ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ فَاقْتُلُوهُ

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever drinks khamr [alcohol] — flog him. Then if he drinks again — flog him. Then if he drinks again — flog him. Then if he drinks a fourth time — kill him.'
