حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائْتَلَفَ وَمَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اخْتَلَفَ

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Yazid, from Hammad ibn Salama, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father — that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Souls are troops gathered together; those that recognize one another are in harmony, and those that do not recognize one another are in discord."
