حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُ

English Translation

Yazid narrated to us, from Hammad ibn Salamah, from Thabit, from Abu Rafi', from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Zakariyya عليه السلام was a carpenter.' So when they sought to kill him, he fled and a tree opened for him, so he entered it. Then Iblis came and took hold of the edge of his garment and showed it to them. They sawed through the tree and him along with it.
