حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ سَمِعْتُ عَاصِمَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ مِنْ آلِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلًى لِأَبِي رُهْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ لَقِيَ امْرَأَةً فَوَجَدَ م
ِنْهَا رِيحَ إِعْصَارٍ طَيِّبَةً فَقَالَ لَهَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ الْمَسْجِدَ تُرِيدِينَ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَلَهُ تَطَيَّبْتِ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْ امْرَأَةٍ تَطَيَّبَتْ لِلْمَسْجِدِ فَيَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ لَهَا صَلَاةً حَتَّى تَغْتَسِلَ مِنْهُ اغْتِسَالَهَا مِنْ الْجَنَابَةِ فَاذْهَبِي فَاغْتَسِلِي

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, I heard 'Asim ibn 'Ubaydillah — from the family of 'Umar ibn al-Khattab — narrating from 'Ubayd, the freed slave of Abu Ruhm, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that he met a woman wearing perfume heading to the mosque. He said: 'O servant of Allah, where are you going?' She said: 'To the mosque.' He said: 'And you have perfumed yourself?' She said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Go back and wash it off, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Any woman who goes out to the mosque while wearing perfume, Allah will not accept her prayer until she goes back and washes it off as she washes off janabah.'
