English Translation

Bahz narrated to us, Salim ibn Hayyan narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Fasting is a shield. When one of you is fasting, let him not speak indecently or behave ignorantly. If someone insults him or fights him, let him say: I am fasting, I am fasting.'
