حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى

اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ حَلَفَ فَقَالَ فِي حَلِفِهِ وَاللَّاتِ فَلْيَقُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَمَنْ قَالَ لِصَاحِبِهِ تَعَالَ أُقَامِرْكَ فَلْيَتَصَدَّقْ بِشَيْءٍ

English Translation

Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever swears an oath and says: By al-Lat and al-'Uzza, let him say: La ilaha illAllah (There is no god but Allah). And whoever says to his companion: Come, I will gamble with you, let him give charity.'
