وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ قَالُوا إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ فِي ذَاكُمْ مِثْلُكُمْ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي فَاكْلَفُوا مِنْ الْعَمَلِ مَا لَكُمْ بِهِ طَاقَةٌ
English Translation
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Beware of continuous fasting (wisal)! Beware of continuous fasting!' They said: 'But you practice continuous fasting, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'I am not like any of you. My Lord feeds me and gives me drink during the night.'
