Hadith #407
Arabic Text
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيَفْرَحُ أَحَدُكُمْ بِرَاحِلَتِهِ إِذَا ضَلَّتْ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ وَجَدَهَا قَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَلَّهُ أَشَدُّ فَرَحًا بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ إِذَا تَابَ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ بِرَاحِلَتِهِ إِذَا وَجَدَهَا
English Translation
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Would any of you be happy if his riding camel were to stray from him and then he found it?' They said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, Allah is more delighted with the repentance of His servant than one of you is with finding his lost camel.'
