وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا مَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ لِلنَّاسِ فَلْيُخَفِّفْ الصَّلَاةَ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمْ الْكَبِيرَ وَفِيهِمْ الضَّعِيفَ وَفِيهِمْ السَّقِيمَ وَإِذَا قَامَ وَحْدَهُ فَلْيُطِلْ صَلَاتَهُ مَا شَاءَ
English Translation
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you stands to lead the people in prayer, let him make it light, for among them are the elderly, the weak, and the sick. But when one of you prays alone, let him lengthen his prayer as much as he wishes.'
