English Translation
Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: Which charity brings the greatest reward? He said: That you give in charity while you are healthy, greedy, fearing poverty and hoping for wealth. Do not delay until your soul reaches your throat and you say: Give to so-and-so, give to so-and-so — when it has already been assigned to so-and-so.'
