English Translation
Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to guard the zakah of Ramadan. Then someone came and began scooping from the food. I grabbed him and said: I will surely take you to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: I am needy and have a family, and I am in great need. So I let him go. In the morning, the Prophet ﷺ said: O Abu Hurayrah, what did your captive do last night? He mentioned the hadith, and at the end the Prophet ﷺ said: He told you the truth, yet he is a persistent liar. That was Shaytan.'
