مَشِ عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَأَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ جَوْفُ الرَّجُلِ قَيْحًا يَرِيهِ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ شِعْرًا

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via al-Fadl ibn Dukayn, from Sufyan, from al-A'mash, from Dhakwan — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "For a man's belly to be filled with pus until it destroys him is better for him than for it to be filled with poetry."
