Hadith #157

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا عِسْلُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ التَّمِيمِيُّ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ السَّدْلِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, 'Isl ibn Sufyan al-Tamimi informed us, from 'Ata', from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever performs ablution well, then goes to the Friday prayer, listens attentively and remains silent, he is forgiven what is between that Friday and the next plus three additional days. And whoever touches pebbles has engaged in laghw (idle talk).'
