‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبِي ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏مُعَاوِيَةَ الْمَهْرِيُّ ‏ ‏قَالَ قَالَ ‏ ‏لِي ‏ ‏أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏يَا ‏ ‏مَهْرِيُّ ‏ ‏نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ ‏ ‏وَكَسْبِ الْحَجَّامِ ‏ ‏وَكَسْبِ ‏ ‏الْمُومِسَةِ ‏ ‏وَعَنْ كَسْبِ ‏ ‏عَسْبِ ‏ ‏الْفَحْلِ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: 'O Mahri, count five things before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your illness, your wealth before your poverty, your leisure before your occupation, and your life before your death.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever takes a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏إِنَّ الْكَرِيمَ ابْنَ الْكَرِيمِ ابْنِ الْكَرِيمِ ابْنِ الْكَرِيمِ ‏ ‏يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بَنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ الرَّحْمَنِ ‏ ‏عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'No people gather in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy envelops them, the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him.'

‏ ‏وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏لَوْ لَبِثْتُ فِي السِّجْنِ مَا لَبِثَ ‏ ‏يُوسُفُ ‏ ‏ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي الدَّاعِي لَأَجَبْتُهُ إِذْ جَاءَهُ الرَّسُولُ فَقَالَ ‏ { ‏ارْجِعْ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَاسْأَلْهُ مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ اللَّاتِي قَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ إِنَّ رَبِّي بِكَيْدِهِنَّ عَلِيمٌ ‏} ‏وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى ‏ ‏لُوطٍ ‏ ‏إِنْ كَانَ لَيَأْوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ ‏ { ‏لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ ‏} ‏وَمَا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا فِي ثَرْوَةٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ ‏

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Had I stayed in prison as long as Yusuf stayed, and then the caller came to me, I would have answered him. When the messenger came to him, he said: Go back to your lord and ask him about the women who cut their hands.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يُحِبُّ الْفَأْلَ الْحَسَنَ وَيَكْرَهُ ‏ ‏الطِّيَرَةَ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave, the torment of the Fire, the trials of life and death, and the trial of the False Messiah (al-Masih al-Dajjal).

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ وَلَعَلَّ بَعْضَكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَلْحَنَ بِحُجَّتِهِ مِنْ بَعْضٍ فَمَنْ قَطَعْتُ لَهُ مِنْ حَقِّ أَخِيهِ قِطْعَةً فَإِنَّمَا أَقْطَعُ لَهُ قِطْعَةً مِنْ النَّارِ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Be in this world as though you were a stranger or a traveler.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏دَخَلَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏هَلْ أَخَذَتْكَ أُمُّ مِلْدَمٍ قَطُّ قَالَ وَمَا أُمُّ مِلْدَمٍ قَالَ حَرٌّ يَكُونُ بَيْنَ الْجِلْدِ وَاللَّحْمِ قَالَ مَا وَجَدْتُ هَذَا قَطُّ قَالَ فَهَلْ أَخَذَكَ هَذَا الصُّدَاعُ قَطُّ قَالَ وَمَا هَذَا الصُّدَاعُ قَالَ عِرْقٌ يَضْرِبُ عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ فِي رَأْسِهِ قَالَ مَا وَجَدْتُ هَذَا قَطُّ فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى هَذَا ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported: A bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, direct me to a deed that if I do it, I will enter Paradise.' He said: 'Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish the obligatory prayer, pay the obligatory zakah, and fast Ramadan.' He said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I will not add anything to this nor reduce anything from it.' When he turned away, the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever wishes to look at a man of Paradise, let him look at this man.'

‏ ‏وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏افْتَرَقَتْ ‏ ‏الْيَهُودُ ‏ ‏عَلَى إِحْدَى ‏ ‏أَوْ اثْنَتَيْنِ ‏ ‏وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً وَتَفْتَرِقُ أُمَّتِي عَلَى ثَلَاثٍ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Jews split into seventy-one or seventy-two sects. The Christians split into seventy-one or seventy-two sects. And my ummah will split into seventy-three sects.'

‏ ‏وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏خَمْسٌ مِنْ حَقِّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ رَدُّ التَّحِيَّةِ وَإِجَابَةُ الدَّعْوَةِ وَشُهُودُ الْجِنَازَةِ وَعِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ ‏ ‏وَتَشْمِيتُ ‏ ‏الْعَاطِسِ إِذَا حَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Five things are the right of a Muslim upon another Muslim: returning the greeting, accepting the invitation, attending funeral prayers, visiting the sick, and responding to the one who sneezes.'

‏ ‏وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏لَمَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ أَرْسَلَ ‏ ‏جِبْرِيلَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏انْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا وَإِلَى مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لِأَهْلِهَا فِيهَا فَجَاءَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا وَإِلَى مَا أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لِأَهْلِهَا فِيهَا فَرَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ وَعِزَّتِكَ لَا يَسْمَعُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا دَخَلَهَا فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَحُجِبَتْ بِالْمَكَارِهِ قَالَ ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهَا فَانْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا وَإِلَى مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لِأَهْلِهَا فِيهَا قَالَ فَرَجَعَ إِلَيْهَا وَإِذَا هِيَ قَدْ حُجِبَتْ بِالْمَكَارِهِ فَرَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ وَعِزَّتِكَ قَدْ خَشِيتُ أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَهَا أَحَدٌ قَالَ اذْهَبْ إِلَى النَّارِ فَانْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا وَإِلَى مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لِأَهْلِهَا فِيهَا فَإِذَا هِيَ يَرْكَبُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا فَرَجَعَ قَالَ وَعِزَّتِكَ لَقَدْ خَشِيتُ أَنْ لَا يَسْمَعَ بِهَا أَحَدٌ فَيَدْخُلَهَا فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَحُفَّتْ بِالشَّهَوَاتِ فَقَالَ وَعِزَّتِكَ لَقَدْ خَشِيتُ أَنْ لَا يَنْجُوَ مِنْهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا دَخَلَهَا ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When Allah created Paradise and the Fire, He sent Jibril to Paradise and said: Look at it and at what I have prepared for its inhabitants. He looked at it and at what Allah had prepared for its inhabitants. He returned and said: By Your Glory, no one will hear of it except that he will enter it. So Allah commanded that it be surrounded by hardships. He said: Go back and look at it. He went back and saw that it was surrounded by hardships. He returned and said: By Your Glory, I fear that no one will enter it.'

‏ ‏وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏كَانَ رَجُلَانِ مِنْ ‏ ‏بَلِيٍّ ‏ ‏مِنْ ‏ ‏قُضَاعَةَ ‏ ‏أَسْلَمَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏وَاسْتُشْهِدَ أَحَدُهُمَا وَأُخِّرَ الْآخَرُ سَنَةً قَالَ ‏ ‏طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏فَأُرِيتُ الْجَنَّةَ فَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا الْمُؤَخَّرَ مِنْهُمَا أُدْخِلَ قَبْلَ الشَّهِيدِ فَعَجِبْتُ لِذَلِكَ فَأَصْبَحْتُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أَوْ ذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أَلَيْسَ قَدْ صَامَ بَعْدَهُ رَمَضَانَ وَصَلَّى سِتَّةَ آلَافِ رَكْعَةٍ ‏ ‏أَوْ كَذَا وَكَذَا رَكْعَةً ‏ ‏صَلَاةَ السَّنَةِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ هَارُونَ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ ‏ ‏بَلِيٍّ ‏ ‏وَهُمْ حَيٌّ مِنْ ‏ ‏قُضَاعَةَ ‏ ‏فَذَكَرَهُ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported: There were two men from Baliyy of Quda'ah who accepted Islam with the Prophet ﷺ. One of them was martyred and the other died a year later. Talhah ibn Ubaydullah saw the one who died later entering Paradise before the martyr. He was amazed by this. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Did he not fast after him for Ramadan, and pray six thousand rak'ahs of prayer in the year, and such and such voluntary prayers?'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏وَهْبُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَزْرَقِ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏تُوُفِّيَ بَعْضُ ‏ ‏كَنَائِنِ ‏ ‏مَرْوَانَ ‏ ‏فَشَهِدَهَا النَّاسُ وَشَهِدَهَا ‏ ‏أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏وَمَعَهَا نِسَاءٌ يَبْكِينَ فَأَمَرَهُنَّ ‏ ‏مَرْوَانُ ‏ ‏فَقَالَ ‏ ‏أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏دَعْهُنَّ فَإِنَّهُ مَرَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏جَنَازَةٌ مَعَهَا ‏ ‏بَوَاكٍ ‏ ‏فَنَهَرَهُنَّ ‏ ‏عُمَرُ ‏ ‏رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏دَعْهُنَّ فَإِنَّ النَّفْسَ مُصَابَةٌ وَالْعَيْنَ دَامِعَةٌ وَالْعَهْدَ حَدِيثٌ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that a man passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was sitting with others. One of those present said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I consider this man to be a noble person.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Do you truly think so?' He said: 'Yes, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah, he is worthy of being married to if he proposes and of being listened to if he speaks.' the Prophet ﷺ was silent. Then another man passed by and the Prophet ﷺ asked about him. The man said: 'This is one of the poor Muslims.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'This one is better than an earth full of the likes of the other.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مِسْعَرٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ ‏ { ‏وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ ‏} ‏جَعَلَ يَدْعُو بُطُونَ ‏ ‏قُرَيْشٍ ‏ ‏بَطْنًا بَطْنًا يَا بَنِي فُلَانٍ ‏ ‏أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ النَّارِ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى ‏ ‏فَاطِمَةَ ‏ ‏فَقَالَ يَا ‏ ‏فَاطِمَةُ ابْنَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ ‏ ‏أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنْ النَّارِ لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّ لَكُمْ رَحِمًا ‏ ‏سَأَبُلُّهَا ‏ ‏بِبَلَالِهَا ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported: When the verse was revealed: 'Give glad tidings to those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in the cause of Allah — of a painful punishment,' the Muslims found it very difficult. They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, none of us can keep any wealth.' He said: 'Let each of you have a thankful heart, a tongue engaged in remembrance, and a believing wife who helps one of you regarding the Hereafter.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو حَيَّانَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏لِبِلَالٍ ‏ ‏عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ يَا ‏ ‏بِلَالُ ‏ ‏خَبِّرْنِي بِأَرْجَى عَمَلٍ عَمِلْتَهُ مَنْفَعَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ فَإِنِّي قَدْ ‏ ‏سَمِعْتُ اللَّيْلَةَ ‏ ‏خَشْفَ ‏ ‏نَعْلَيْكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ مَا عَمِلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ عَمَلًا أَرْجَى عِنْدِي مَنْفَعَةً مِنْ أَنِّي لَمْ أَتَطَهَّرْ طُهُورًا تَامًّا قَطُّ فِي سَاعَةٍ مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ إِلَّا صَلَّيْتُ بِذَلِكَ الطُّهُورِ لِرَبِّي مَا كُتِبَ لِي أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not be envious of one another, do not hate one another, and do not turn your backs on one another. Be, O servants of Allah, brothers.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ يَعْنِي النَّوْفَلِيَّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ ‏ ‏سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏مَنْ أَفْضَى بِيَدِهِ إِلَى ذَكَرِهِ لَيْسَ دُونَهُ سِتْرٌ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ عَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏مِثْلَهُ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'Save yourselves from the Fire, even with half a date. And if one of you cannot find even that, then with a kind word.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏أَكْثِرُوا مِنْ قَوْلِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا كَنْزٌ مِنْ كُنُوزِ الْجَنَّةِ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The first thing that a person will be called to account for on the Day of Resurrection from his deeds is the prayer. If it is complete, it will be written as complete. If it is not complete, Allah will say: Look and see if My servant has any voluntary prayers to complete what is missing from his obligatory prayers. Then the rest of his deeds will be dealt with in the same manner.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى بْنُ يَزِيدَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏جُبَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ‏ ‏وَكَانَ يُقَالُ لَهُ ‏ ‏ابْنُ نُفَيْلَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏ثَمَنُ ‏ ‏الْجَرِيسَةِ ‏ ‏حَرَامٌ وَأَكْلُهَا حَرَامٌ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The one who is hired should be given his wages before his sweat dries.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو النَّضْرِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏الْمُبَارَكُ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الْحَسَنِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏وَأُرَاهُ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported — and I think he attributed it to the Prophet ﷺ — that he said: 'Indeed, among the best of your days is Friday. On it Adam was created and on it he died. On it the trumpet will be blown and on it the great swoon will occur. So send abundant salawat upon me on that day, for your salawat are presented to me.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how will our salawat be presented to you when your body has decomposed?' He said: 'Indeed Allah, Most High, has forbidden the earth from consuming the bodies of the Prophet ﷺs.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو النَّضْرِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏الْمُبَارَكُ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الْحَسَنِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يَقُولُ ‏ ‏أَلَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَأْخُذُ بِمَا فَرَضَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ كَلِمَةً أَوْ كَلِمَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا أَوْ أَرْبَعًا أَوْ خَمْسًا فَيَجْعَلُهُنَّ فِي طَرَفِ رِدَائِهِ فَيَتَعَلَّمُهُنَّ وَيُعَلِّمُهُنَّ قَالَ ‏ ‏أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏فَقُلْتُ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَابْسُطْ ثَوْبَكَ قَالَ فَبَسَطْتُ ثَوْبِي فَحَدَّثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏ثُمَّ قَالَ ضُمَّ إِلَيْكَ فَضَمَمْتُ ثَوْبِي إِلَى صَدْرِي ‏ ‏فَإِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا أَكُونَ نَسِيتُ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ بَعْدُ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Indeed the first thing that people will be asked about on the Day of Resurrection from their good deeds is the prayer. Our Lord, Mighty and Majestic, will say to His angels — and He knows best: Look at the prayer of My servant — did he complete it or fall short? If it is complete, it will be written as complete. If he fell short in anything, He will say: Look and see if My servant has any voluntary prayers. If he has voluntary prayers, He will say: Complete My servant's obligatory prayers from his voluntary ones. Then the rest of his deeds will be taken in the same manner.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو النَّضْرِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏ضِرْسُ الْكَافِرِ مِثْلُ ‏ ‏أُحُدٍ ‏ ‏وَفَخِذُهُ مِثْلُ ‏ ‏الْبَيْضَاءِ ‏ ‏وَمَقْعَدُهُ مِنْ النَّارِ كَمَا بَيْنَ ‏ ‏قُدَيْدٍ ‏ ‏وَمَكَّةَ ‏ ‏وَكَثَافَةُ جِلْدِهِ اثْنَانِ وَأَرْبَعُونَ ذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعِ الْجَبَّارِ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'If one of you looks at someone who has been given more in wealth and physical appearance, let him look at someone who is below him.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو النَّضْرِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي صَالِحٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مِنْ رُضْوَانِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يُلْقِي لَهَا بَالًا يَرْفَعُهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَاتٍ وَإِنَّ الْعَبْدَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مِنْ سَخَطِ اللَّهِ لَا يُلْقِي لَهَا بَالًا يَهْوِي بِهَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his guest. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him maintain ties of kinship. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ كَشَاكِشٍ ‏ ‏قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ‏ ‏سَعِيدًا الْمَقْبُرِيَّ ‏ ‏يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏خَيْرُ الْكَسْبِ كَسْبُ يَدِ الْعَامِلِ إِذَا نَصَحَ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'The signs of a hypocrite are three: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is entrusted, he betrays.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏نُعَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُجْمِرِ ‏ ‏أَنَّهُ رَقِيَ إِلَى ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَرَفَعَ فِي عَضُدَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يَقُولُ ‏ ‏إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ هُمْ ‏ ‏الْغُرُّ ‏ ‏الْمُحَجَّلُونَ ‏ ‏مِنْ آثَارِ الْوُضُوءِ فَمَنْ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يُطِيلَ ‏ ‏غُرَّتَهُ ‏ ‏فَلْيَفْعَلْ ‏ ‏فَقَالَ ‏ ‏نُعَيْمٌ ‏ ‏لَا أَدْرِي قَوْلُهُ مَنْ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يُطِيلَ ‏ ‏غُرَّتَهُ ‏ ‏فَلْيَفْعَلْ مِنْ قَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أَوْ مِنْ قَوْلِ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported: Nu'aym al-Mujmir said: I went up to Abu Hurayrah on the roof of the masjid and he was performing ablution. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'On the Day of Resurrection, my ummah will be called al-ghurr al-muhajjalin (those with shining marks of light) from the traces of ablution. Whoever among you can extend his brightness, let him do so.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏زُهَيْرٌ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ تَدْرُونَ مَنْ الْمُفْلِسُ قَالُوا الْمُفْلِسُ فِينَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ لَا لَهُ دِرْهَمَ وَلَا دِينَارَ وَلَا مَتَاعَ قَالَ ‏ ‏الْمُفْلِسُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ يَأْتِي بِصَلَاةٍ وَصِيَامٍ وَزَكَاةٍ وَيَأْتِي قَدْ شَتَمَ عِرْضَ هَذَا وَقَذَفَ هَذَا وَأَكَلَ مَالَ هَذَا وَضَرَبَ هَذَا فَيُقْعَدُ ‏ ‏فَيَقْتَصُّ ‏ ‏هَذَا مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ وَهَذَا مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ فَإِنْ فَنِيَتْ حَسَنَاتُهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ ‏ ‏يُقْضَى مَا عَلَيْهِ أُخِذَ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُمْ فَطُرِحَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ طُرِحَ فِي النَّارِ ‏ ‏و قَالَ ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَهْدِيٍّ ‏ ‏فَيَقْتَصُّ وَقَالَ ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ‏ ‏قَبْلَ أَنْ ‏ ‏يُقْضَى مَا عَلَيْهِ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'Do you know what backbiting is?' They said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said: 'Mentioning your brother with what he dislikes.' It was said: 'What if what I say about my brother is true?' He said: 'If what you say is true, you have backbitten him. And if it is not true, you have slandered him.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏زُهَيْرٌ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الْعَلَاءِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ الْعُقُوبَةِ مَا طَمِعَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحَدٌ وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْكَافِرُ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ الرَّحْمَةِ مَا ‏ ‏قَنَطَ ‏ ‏مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ أَحَدٌ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ فَوَضَعَ رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً بَيْنَ خَلْقِهِ يَتَرَاحَمُونَ بِهَا وَعِنْدَ اللَّهِ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ رَحْمَةً ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'If the people knew what is in the Fajr and Isha prayers, they would come to them even if they had to crawl.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏زُهَيْرٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَسِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي أَسِيدٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏نَافِعِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ ‏ ‏مَوْلَى ‏ ‏عَقِيلَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْقٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُطَوِّقَ حَبِيبَهُ طَوْقًا مِنْ نَارٍ فَلْيُطَوِّقْهُ طَوْقًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُسَوِّرَ حَبِيبَهُ سِوَارًا مِنْ نَارٍ فَلْيُسَوِّرْهُ بِسِوَارٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُحَلِّقَ حَبِيبَهُ حَلْقَةً مِنْ نَارٍ فَلْيُحَلِّقْهُ حَلْقَةً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَلَكِنْ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْفِضَّةِ الْعَبُوا بِهَا لَعِبًا الْعَبُوا بِهَا لَعِبًا ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Muslim has six rights over another Muslim.' It was said: 'What are they, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'When you meet him, greet him with salam. When he invites you, accept the invitation. When he seeks your counsel, advise him. When he sneezes and praises Allah, say yarhamuk Allah. When he is sick, visit him. When he dies, follow his funeral.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏زُهَيْرٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏مُوسَى بْنُ وَرْدَانَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏الْمَرْءُ عَلَى دِينِ ‏ ‏خَلِيلِهِ ‏ ‏فَلْيَنْظُرْ أَحَدُكُمْ مَنْ ‏ ‏يُخَالِلْ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'A man is on the religion of his close friend, so let each of you look carefully at whom he befriends.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ ‏ ‏وَسُرَيْجٌ ‏ ‏قَالَا ثَنَا ‏ ‏فُلَيْحٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏مَا مِنْ ‏ ‏مُؤْمِنٍ إِلَّا وَأَنَا أَوْلَى بِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ اقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ ‏ { ‏النَّبِيُّ أَوْلَى بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ ‏} ‏فَأَيُّمَا مُؤْمِنٍ هَلَكَ وَتَرَكَ مَالًا فَلْيَرِثْهُ ‏ ‏عَصَبَتُهُ ‏ ‏مَنْ كَانُوا وَمَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا أَوْ ‏ ‏ضَيَاعًا ‏ ‏فَلْيَأْتِنِي فَإِنِّي مَوْلَاهُ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'A man sinned and said: O my Lord, I have sinned, so forgive me. His Lord said: My servant knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sins and holds accountable for them? I have forgiven My servant. Then he sinned again and said: O my Lord, I have sinned, so forgive me. His Lord said: My servant knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sins and holds accountable for them? I have forgiven My servant. Then he sinned again and said: O my Lord, I have sinned, so forgive me. His Lord said: My servant knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sins and holds accountable for them? I have forgiven My servant — let him do what he wishes.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏فُلَيْحٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَصَامَ رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ هَاجَرَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ جَلَسَ فِي أَرْضِهِ الَّتِي وُلِدَ فِيهَا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا نُخْبِرُ النَّاسَ قَالَ إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِائَةَ دَرَجَةٍ أَعَدَّهَا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِلْمُجَاهِدِينَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ بَيْنَ كُلِّ دَرَجَتَيْنِ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمْ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَسَلُوهُ الْفِرْدَوْسَ فَإِنَّهُ وَسَطُ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَفَوْقَ عَرْشِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَمِنْهُ تَفَجَّرُ ‏ ‏أَوْ تَنْفَجِرُ أَنْهَارُ الْجَنَّةِ شَكَّ ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يُونُسُ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏فُلَيْحٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ‏ ‏أَوْ ‏ ‏ابْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏فُلَيْحٌ ‏ ‏وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ ‏ ‏ابْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ‏ ‏فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ تَفَجَّرُ أَنْهَارُ الْجَنَّةِ وَقَالَ أَفَلَا نُنَبِّئُ النَّاسَ بِذَلِكَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏وَحْدَهُ ‏ ‏ثُمَّ حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ فَلَمْ يَشُكَّ ‏ ‏يَعْنِي ‏ ‏فُلَيْحًا ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ ‏ ‏فَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ‏ ‏سُرَيْجٌ ‏ ‏قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏فُلَيْحٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏فَذَكَرَهُ وَقَالَ وَفَوْقَهُ عَرْشُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَمِنْهُ تَنْفَجِرُ أَنْهَارُ الْجَنَّةِ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'While a dog was circling a well, about to die of thirst, one of the prostitutes of the Children of Israel saw it. She removed her shoe, filled it with water, and gave the dog to drink. She was forgiven because of that.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سُرَيْجٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏فُلَيْحٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏الشَّيْخُ يَكْبَرُ وَيَضْعُفُ جِسْمُهُ وَقَلْبُهُ شَابٌّ عَلَى حُبِّ اثْنَيْنِ طُولِ الْعُمُرِ وَالْمَالِ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'Faith has sixty-some or seventy-some branches. The highest of them is the statement La ilaha illallah, and the lowest is removing something harmful from the road. And modesty is a branch of faith.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ ‏ ‏وَسُرَيْجٌ ‏ ‏قَالَا ثَنَا ‏ ‏فُلَيْحٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أَنَّهُ قَالَ ‏ ‏إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ لَيَتَزَاوَرُونَ فِيهَا ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏سُرَيْجٌ ‏ ‏لَيَتَرَاءَوْنَ ‏ ‏فِيهَا ‏ ‏كَمَا ‏ ‏تَرَاءَوْنَ الْكَوْكَبَ الشَّرْقِيَّ وَالْكَوْكَبَ الْغَرْبِيَّ الْغَارِبَ فِي ‏ ‏الْأُفُقِ ‏ ‏الطَّالِعَ فِي تَفَاضُلِ الدَّرَجَاتِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أُولَئِكَ النَّبِيُّونَ قَالَ بَلَى وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدٍ ‏ ‏بِيَدِهِ أَقْوَامٌ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَصَدَّقُوا الْمُرْسَلِينَ ‏ ‏وَقَالَ ‏ ‏سُرَيْجٌ ‏ ‏أَقْوَامٌ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'If any of you commits a sin, let him not have relations with his wife until she performs ablution as one performs ablution for prayer.' — Abu Amir narrated it as: 'When one of you comes to his wife and then wants to return to her, let him perform ablution between them.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَامِرٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏زُهَيْرٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَلْحَلَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏مَا يُصِيبُ الْمَرْءَ الْمُسْلِمَ مِنْ ‏ ‏نَصَبٍ ‏ ‏وَلَا ‏ ‏وَصَبٍ ‏ ‏وَلَا هَمٍّ وَلَا حُزْنٍ وَلَا غَمٍّ وَلَا أَذًى حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةَ يُشَاكُهَا إِلَّا كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِهَا مِنْ خَطَايَاهُ ‏

Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa'id al-Khudri رضي الله عنهما reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'When a servant falls ill or travels, the same reward is written for him as what he used to do when he was healthy and resident.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَمْرِو بْنِ شِهَابٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ ثَلَاثُ بَنَاتٍ فَصَبَرَ عَلَى ‏ ‏لَأْوَائِهِنَّ ‏ ‏وَضَرَّائِهِنَّ وَسَرَّائِهِنَّ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِفَضْلِ رَحْمَتِهِ إِيَّاهُنَّ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَوْ ثِنْتَانِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَوْ ثِنْتَانِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَوْ وَاحِدَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَوْ وَاحِدَةٌ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'Angels take turns among you — angels by night and angels by day. They meet at the Fajr prayer and the Asr prayer. Then those who were with you at night ascend, and He asks them — though He knows best about them: How did you leave My servants? They say: We left them while they were praying and we came to them while they were praying.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏بَكْرُ بْنُ عِيسَى ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي بَلْجٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ‏ ‏قَالَ قَالَ ‏ ‏أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ لِي نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يَا ‏ ‏أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏هَلْ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى كَلِمَةٍ كَنْزٍ مِنْ كَنْزِ الْجَنَّةِ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي قَالَ أَنْ تَقُولَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏أَبُو بَلْجٍ ‏ ‏وَأَحْسَبُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ أَسْلَمَ عَبْدِي وَاسْتَسْلَمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏فَقُلْتُ ‏ ‏لِعَمْرٍو ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏أَبُو بَلْجٍ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏عَمْرٌو ‏ ‏قُلْتُ ‏ ‏لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ فَقَالَ ‏ ‏لَا إِنَّهَا فِي سُورَةِ ‏ ‏الْكَهْفِ ‏ { ‏وَلَوْلَا إِذْ دَخَلْتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلْتَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ‏}

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه said: the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ said to me: 'Who will take from me these words and act upon them or teach someone who will act upon them?' Abu Hurayrah said: I said: I will, O Messenger of Allah. So he took my hand and counted five things and said: 'Guard against the prohibited things and you will be the most worshipping of people. Be content with what Allah has given you and you will be the richest of people. Be good to your neighbor and you will be a believer. Love for people what you love for yourself and you will be a Muslim. And do not laugh excessively, for excessive laughter kills the heart.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي صَالِحٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَبِيعُ الْخَمْرَ فِي سَفِينَةٍ وَكَانَ يَشُوبُهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَكَانَ مَعَهُ فِي السَّفِينَةِ قِرْدٌ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ الْكِيسَ وَفِيهِ الدَّنَانِيرُ قَالَ فَصَعِدَ ‏ ‏الذَّرْوَ ‏ ‏يَعْنِي ‏ ‏الدَّقَلَ ‏ ‏فَفَتَحَ الْكِيسَ فَجَعَلَ يُلْقِي فِي الْبَحْرِ ‏ ‏دِينَارًا وَفِي السَّفِينَةِ دِينَارًا حَتَّى لَمْ يَبْقَ فِيهِ شَيْءٌ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'A man's prayer in congregation is twenty-five times better than his prayer in his house or in his marketplace. That is because when he performs ablution and does it well, then goes out to the masjid with no other purpose than prayer, his rank is raised by one degree and one sin is erased from him with every step he takes. When he prays, the angels continue to send prayers upon him as long as he is in his place of prayer, saying: O Allah, bless him. O Allah, have mercy on him. One of you continues to be in prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ‏ ‏قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ ‏ ‏قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏خَيْرُ صُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ الْمُقَدَّمُ وَشَرُّهَا الْمُؤَخَّرُ وَشَرُّ صُفُوفِ النِّسَاءِ الْمُقَدَّمُ وَخَيْرُهَا الْمُؤَخَّرُ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not describe the charm of a woman to another man, lest he become infatuated with her.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏قَالَ قُلْتُ ‏ ‏لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏أَهَكَذَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يُصَلِّي بِكُمْ قَالَ وَمَا أَنْكَرْتَ مِنْ صَلَاتِي قَالَ قُلْتُ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ ‏ ‏وَأَوْجَزُ قَالَ ‏ ‏وَكَانَ قِيَامُهُ قَدْرَ مَا يَنْزِلُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ مِنْ الْمَنَارَةِ وَيَصِلُ إِلَى الصَّفِّ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported: I said to Abu Hurayrah: 'Is this how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray?' He said: 'And what is wrong with it?' I said: 'You have shortened it.' He said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be silent between the opening takbir and the recitation for a while. I asked him about it and he said: He would say: O Allah, distance me from my sins as You have distanced the east from the west. O Allah, purify me from my sins as a white garment is purified from filth. O Allah, wash me of my sins with water, snow, and hail.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سُلَيْمَانُ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي صَالِحٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يَخْرُجُ عُنُقٌ مِنْ النَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَهُ عَيْنَانِ يُبْصِرُ بِهِمَا ‏ ‏وَأُذُنَانِ ‏ ‏يَسْمَعُ بِهِمَا وَلِسَانٌ يَنْطِقُ بِهِ فَيَقُولُ إِنِّي وُكِّلْتُ بِثَلَاثَةٍ بِكُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ وَبِكُلِّ مَنْ ادَّعَى مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَالْمُصَوِّرِينَ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever says SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi one hundred times in a day, his sins will be removed from him even if they were like the foam of the sea.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الزُّهْرِيِّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏نَافِعٍ ‏ ‏مَوْلَى ‏ ‏أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏كَيْفَ بِكُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ فِيكُمْ ‏ ‏عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ‏ ‏وَإِمَامُكُمْ مِنْكُمْ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'If one of you leads the people in prayer, let him make it light, for among them are the sick, the weak, and the elderly. And if he prays alone, let him lengthen as he wishes.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا يُؤْمِنُ لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا يُؤْمِنُ لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا يُؤْمِنُ قَالُوا وَمَنْ ذَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ جَارٌ لَا يَأْمَنُ جَارُهُ بَوَائِقَهُ قِيلَ وَمَا بَوَائِقُهُ قَالَ شَرُّهُ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever goes to a fortune-teller and believes in what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad ﷺ.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ ‏ ‏قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَأْخُذَ أُمَّتِي أَخْذَ الْأُمَمِ قَبْلَهَا شِبْرًا بِشِبْرٍ وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَمَا فَعَلَتْ ‏ ‏فَارِسُ ‏ ‏وَالرُّومُ ‏ ‏قَالَ وَمَا النَّاسُ إِلَّا أُولَئِكَ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A Muslim man should not be made to stand up from his seat so that another may sit in it. Rather, make room and spread out.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏أَتَى أَعْرَابِيٌّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏بِأَرْنَبٍ قَدْ شَوَاهَا وَمَعَهَا ‏ ‏صِنَابُهَا ‏ ‏وَأَدَمُهَا فَوَضَعَهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَأَمْسَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏فَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ وَأَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ أَنْ يَأْكُلُوا فَأَمْسَكَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏مَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ تَأْكُلَ قَالَ إِنِّي أَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ الشَّهْرِ قَالَ إِنْ كُنْتَ صَائِمًا فَصُمْ الْأَيَّامَ ‏ ‏الْغُرَّ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported: A bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, show me a deed that if I do it, I will enter Paradise.' He said: 'Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish the obligatory prayer, pay the obligatory zakah, and fast Ramadan.' He said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I will not add to this.' When he turned away, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever wishes to look at a man of the people of Paradise, let him look at this man.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي حَصِينٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي صَالِحٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أَنَّهُ كَانَ ‏ ‏يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'Do not wish for death. If one of you is doing good, perhaps he will increase in it. And if he is doing evil, perhaps he will repent.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ ‏ ‏قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏سُفْيَانُ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏بِطَعَامٍ ‏ ‏بِمَرِّ الظَّهْرَانِ ‏ ‏فَقَالَ ‏ ‏لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ ‏ ‏وَعُمَرَ ‏ ‏ادْنُوَا ‏ ‏فَكُلَا قَالَا إِنَّا صَائِمَانِ قَالَ ارْحَلُوا لِصَاحِبَيْكُمْ اعْمَلُوا لِصَاحِبَيْكُمْ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you wakes up from his sleep, let him not dip his hand in the vessel until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سَعْدِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي حَازِمٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏أَسْرَعُ قَبَائِلِ ‏ ‏الْعَرَبِ ‏ ‏فَنَاءً ‏ ‏قُرَيْشٌ ‏ ‏وَيُوشِكُ أَنْ تَمُرَّ الْمَرْأَةُ بِالنَّعْلِ فَتَقُولَ إِنَّ هَذَا نَعْلُ قُرَشِيٍّ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When the imam says Ameen, say Ameen. For whoever's Ameen coincides with the Ameen of the angels, his previous sins will be forgiven.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏قُطْبَةُ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏الْأَعْمَشِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي صَالِحٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏نَجِدُ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ذَا الْوَجْهَيْنِ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you stands up in prayer, let him not wipe the pebbles, for indeed mercy is facing him.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏إِذَا سَرَقَ عَبْدُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَبِعْهُ وَلَوْ ‏ ‏بِنَشٍّ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When any of you steps on something dirty with his shoes, the dirt is a purification for them.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ‏ ‏فِي سَنَةِ إِحْدَى وَخَمْسِينَ خَرَجْتُ مَعَ ‏ ‏سُفْيَانَ ‏ ‏قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏بُكَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏مَنْ اشْتَرَى طَعَامًا فَلَا يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى ‏ ‏يَسْتَوْفِيَهُ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A man bought a piece of land from another man. The buyer found in the land a jar containing gold. The buyer said to the seller: Take your gold; I only bought the land from you, not the gold. The seller said: I sold you the land and everything in it. So they went to a man and he said: Do you have children? One said: I have a boy. The other said: I have a girl. He said: Marry the boy to the girl, spend upon them both, and give charity.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏حَمَّادٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سُهَيْلٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏إِذَا قَاتَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ فَلْيَجْتَنِبْ الْوَجْهَ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah, Most High, does not look at your appearances or your wealth, but He looks at your hearts and your deeds.'

‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ‏ ‏وَعَفَّانُ ‏ ‏قَالَا ثَنَا ‏ ‏حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سُهَيْلٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏إِذَا سَافَرْتُمْ فِي ‏ ‏الْخِصْبِ ‏ ‏فَأَعْطُوا الْإِبِلَ حَقَّهَا وَإِذَا سَافَرْتُمْ فِي ‏ ‏الْجَدْبِ ‏ ‏فَأَسْرِعُوا السَّيْرَ وَإِذَا أَرَدْتُمْ ‏ ‏التَّعْرِيسَ ‏ ‏فَتَنَكَّبُوا ‏ ‏عَنْ الطَّرِيقِ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏عَفَّانُ ‏ ‏فِي حَدِيثِهِ ‏ ‏أَنَا ‏ ‏سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ‏

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Avoid suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech. Do not spy, do not seek out faults, do not compete with one another, do not envy one another, do not hate one another, and do not turn your backs on one another. Be, O servants of Allah, brothers.'
