حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَتَى أَعْرَابِيٌّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَرْنَبٍ قَدْ شَوَاهَا وَمَعَهَا صِنَابُهَا وَأَدَمُهَا فَوَضَعَهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَأَمْسَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ
عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ وَأَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ أَنْ يَأْكُلُوا فَأَمْسَكَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ تَأْكُلَ قَالَ إِنِّي أَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ الشَّهْرِ قَالَ إِنْ كُنْتَ صَائِمًا فَصُمْ الْأَيَّامَ الْغُرَّ

English Translation
Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported: A bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, show me a deed that if I do it, I will enter Paradise.' He said: 'Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish the obligatory prayer, pay the obligatory zakah, and fast Ramadan.' He said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I will not add to this.' When he turned away, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever wishes to look at a man of the people of Paradise, let him look at this man.'
