English Translation

'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from al-Nadr ibn Anas, from Bashir ibn Nahik, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not go to meet riders coming with merchandise (to buy before they reach the market). Do not let a settled person sell on behalf of a Bedouin. Do not engage in najash (bidding up the price without intending to buy). A man should not buy over the purchase of his brother, nor should he propose marriage over the proposal of his brother. And a woman should not ask for her sister (in faith) to be divorced so that she may empty her plate (take her place).'
