حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ وَأَبَانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي رَا
فِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا جَلَسَ بَيْنَ شُعَبِهَا الْأَرْبَعِ وَأَجْهَدَ نَفْسَهُ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ أَنْزَلَ أَوْ لَمْ يُنْزِلْ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammam and Aban narrated to us, they said: Qatadah narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Abu Rafi', from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'When one of you leads the people in prayer, let him shorten it, for among them are the weak, the elderly, and those who have needs. And when one of you prays alone, let him make it as long as he wishes.'
