Hasan narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abu al-Aswad narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn Rafi', from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: 'By Allah, Sulayman ibn Dawud (عليه السلام) went around to seventy of his wives in one night, saying about each: She will give birth to a knight who will fight in the cause of Allah. But none of them gave birth except one who bore half a child.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Had he said: In sha' Allah (If Allah wills), it would have been as he hoped.'
