English Translation
Hasan and 'Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us — 'Affan said in his hadith: Abu Sinan narrated to us — from 'Uthman ibn Abi Sawdah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not be envious of one another. Do not hate one another. Do not turn away from one another. Do not undercut one another in trade. Be, O servants of Allah, brothers. The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim: he does not wrong him, he does not abandon him, he does not lie to him, and he does not despise him. Taqwa (God-consciousness) is right here' — and he pointed to his chest three times. 'It is enough evil for a person to despise his Muslim brother.'
