English Translation
Ishaq narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sulaym narrated to us, I heard Isma'il ibn Umayyah narrating from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id al-Maqburi, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his guest. His hospitality gift (ja'izah) is one day and one night. Hospitality is three days. Whatever exceeds that is charity. It is not permissible for a guest to stay until he becomes a burden on his host.'
