English Translation
Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, Aban, meaning Ibn 'Abdullah al-Bajali, narrated to us, a freed slave of Abu Hurayrah narrated to me, he said: I heard Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) say: We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said: 'Who will take these words from me and act upon them, or teach one who will act upon them?' Abu Hurayrah said: I said: I will, O Messenger of Allah. He took my hand and counted five, saying: 'Avoid what is forbidden and you will be the most worshipful of people. Be content with what Allah has allotted you and you will be the richest of people. Be good to your neighbor and you will be a believer. Love for people what you love for yourself and you will be a Muslim. And do not laugh too much, for excessive laughter kills the heart.'
