English Translation

Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Salih, the freed slave of al-Taw'amah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The best of charity is that which leaves self-sufficiency behind. The upper hand is better than the lower hand. Begin with those for whom you are responsible.'
