Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَدِينِيُّ وَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ الْمِحْنَةِ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَلَمْ يُحَدِّثْ أَبِي عَنْهُ بَعْدَ الْمِحْنَةِ بِشَيْءٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ

بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ يَعْنِي الثَّقَفِيَّ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ

English Translation

'Ali ibn 'Abdullah ibn Ja'far al-Madini narrated to us — and that was before the Mihnah — 'Abdullah said: And my father did not narrate from him anything after the Mihnah — he said: A man does not narrate a hadith to his people except that he is a witness for it on the Day of Resurrection. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever deliberately lies about me, let him take his seat in the Fire.'
