‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُعَاوِيَةُ ‏ ‏قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏زَائِدَةُ ‏ ‏قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏حَرَّمَ يَوْمَ ‏ ‏خَيْبَرَ ‏ ‏كُلَّ ذِي ‏ ‏نَابٍ مِنْ السِّبَاعِ ‏ ‏وَالْمُجَثَّمَةَ ‏ ‏وَالْحِمَارَ الْإِنْسِيَّ ‏

English Translation

Mu'awiyah narrated to us who (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that za'idah narrated to us who said: Muhammad ibn 'Amr narrated to us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Were it not that I would impose hardship on my Ummah, I would have commanded them to use the siwak (tooth-stick) with every prayer.'
