English Translation
Khalaf ibn al-Walid narrated to us who (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that khalid narrated to us, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us: when one of you prays, let him place something in front of himself. If he cannot find anything, let him place his staff. If he does not have a staff, let him draw a line. Then whatever passes in front of him will not harm him.
