حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْأَمَةِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ جَلَسَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَيْنَ أَن
ْتَ قَالَ بَرْبَرِيٌّ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُمْ عَنِّي قَالَ بِمِرْفَقِهِ هَكَذَا فَلَمَّا قَامَ عَنْهُ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْإِيمَانَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ

English Translation
Surayj narrated to us who (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that 'Abdullah ibn Nafi' narrated to us who said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to me, from Salih, the freed slave of al-Taw'amah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever takes an oath and says: If Allah wills (in sha' Allah), then if he wishes he may fulfill it, and if he wishes he may leave it, without any expiation due.'
