حَدَّثَنَا عَارِمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ بَرَكَةَ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ ا
للَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى أَرَى بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ قَالَ أَبِي وَهُوَ أَبُو الْمُعْتَمِرِ لَا أَظُنُّهُ إِلَّا فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ

English Translation
'Arim narrated to us who said: Mu'tamir narrated to us who said: My father narrated to me, from Barakah, from Bashir ibn Nahik, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to retreat in i'tikaf every Ramadan for ten days. In the year in which he passed away, he retreated for twenty days.
