English Translation
Sulayman ibn Dawud narrated to us, Isma'il narrated to us, al-'Ala' informed us, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'There is no contagion, no evil omens, no hama (owl superstition), and no Safar (pre-Islamic superstition about the month). Flee from the leper as you would flee from a lion.'
