حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ

عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ اثْنَانِ هُمَا كُفْرٌ النِّيَاحَةُ وَالطَّعْنُ فِي النَّسَبِ

English Translation

Aswad narrated to us, Abu Bakr informed us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to like performing istikharah (the guidance prayer). He would say: 'O Allah, let me choose what is best (Allahumma khir li).'
