حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي
سُهَيْلِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اسْتَهَلَّ رَمَضَانُ غُلِّقَتْ أَبْوَابُ النَّارِ وَفُتِّحَتْ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ وَصُفِّدَتْ الشَّيَاطِينُ

English Translation
Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Abu Suhayl ibn Malik, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The time between the two trumpet blasts will be forty.' People said: 'O Abu Hurayrah, forty days?' He said: 'I refused to answer.' They said: 'Forty months?' He said: 'I refused to answer.' They said: 'Forty years?' He said: 'I refused to answer.'
