Hadith #53

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى
عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَقْرَبُكُمْ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَكَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَقْنُتُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ بَعْدَمَا يَقُولُ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَيَدْعُو لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيَلْعَنُ الْكُفَّارَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه said: 'By Allah, I am the closest of you in prayer to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' Abu Hurayrah used to recite the opening supplication (qunut) in the last rak'ah of the Dhuhr prayer, the Isha prayer, and the Fajr prayer. He would supplicate for the believers and curse the disbelievers.
