Hadith #543
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَال
َ لَا يَبِعْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ وَلَا يَبِعْ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ وَلَا تَنَاجَشُوا وَلَا تَلَقَّوْا السِّلَعَ وَقَالَ مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ وَإِذَا أُتْبِعَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى مَلِيءٍ فَلْيَتْبَعْ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Idris narrated to us, Malik informed us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'You see that my wealth is abundant? No! By my soul, what I fear for you is that the world will be spread open before you as it was spread open for those before you, and you will compete for it as they competed, and it will destroy you as it destroyed them.'
