حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ بِقَرْيَةٍ تَأْكُلُ الْقُرَى وَتَنْفِي الْخَبَثَ كَمَا يَنْفِي الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sa'id informed us, from Sa'id ibn Yasar, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'What I fear most for my Ummah is the minor shirk.' They said: 'What is the minor shirk, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Showing off (riya'). Allah عز وجل will say on the Day of Resurrection, when people are being recompensed for their deeds: Go to those for whom you were showing off in the world, and see if you find any reward with them.'
