English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn 'Amr, from Abu al-Hakam, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Keep to moderation and straightness, and know that none of you will be saved by his deeds alone.' They said: 'Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Not even me, unless Allah encompasses me with mercy and grace.'
