حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْعَجْلَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ فَقَالَ أَنَا وَالَّذِينَ مَعِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ عَلَى الْأَثَرِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ عَلَى الْأَثَرِ ثُمَّ كَأَنَّهُ رَفَضَ مَنْ بَقِيَ

English Translation

Yunus narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, from Muhammad, from his father al-'Ajlan, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: 'Which deed is best?' He said: 'Belief in Allah and His Messenger.' He was asked: 'Then what?' He said: 'Jihad in the cause of Allah.' He was asked: 'Then what?' He said: 'An accepted Hajj.'
