‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏حَسَنٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏جَابِرٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ ‏ ‏عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ‏ ‏رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ ‏ ‏سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يَقُولُ ‏ ‏سَيَخْرُجُ أَهْلُ ‏ ‏مَكَّةَ ‏ ‏ثُمَّ لَا يَعْبُرُ بِهَا ‏ ‏أَوْ لَا يَعْرِفُهَا إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ ‏ ‏ثُمَّ تَمْتَلِئُ ‏ ‏وَتُبْنَى ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنْهَا فَلَا يَعُودُونَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that 'Umar bin al-Khattab رضي الله عنه told him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man doing wudoo' to pray Zuhr, and he missed a spot the size of a toenail. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him and said: `Go back and do your wudoo' properly` So he went back and did wudoo', then he prayed.
