حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ فُرَافِصَةَ
عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ غِرٌّ كَرِيمٌ وَإِنَّ الْفَاجِرَ خَبٌّ لَئِيمٌ

English Translation
Abu Ahmad narrated to us, he said Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj ibn Furafiṣah, from a man, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Be moderate and seek closeness [to Allah], and know that none of you will be saved by his deeds.' They said: 'Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Not even me, unless Allah envelops me with mercy from Him and grace.'
