حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجَوَّابِ الضَّبِّيُّ الْأَحْوَصُ بْنُ جَوَّابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ زُرَيْقٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَ

لَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُحَدِّثُ نَفْسِي بِالْحَدِيثِ لَأَنْ أَخِرَّ مِنْ السَّمَاءِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَتَكَلَّمَ بِهِ قَالَ ذَلِكَ صَرِيحُ الْإِيمَانِ

English Translation

Abu al-Jawwab al-Dabbi, al-Ahwas ibn Jawwab, narrated to us, he said Ammar ibn Zurayq narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The five daily prayers, and from one Friday to the next, and from one Ramadan to the next, are expiations for what is between them, as long as one avoids the major sins.'
