وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا الطِّيَرَةُ قَالَ لَا طَائِرَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتِ وَقَالَ خَيْرُ الْفَأْلِ الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ
English Translation
And with this chain of narration, it was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is al-tiyarah (evil omens)?' He said: 'There is no augury from birds' — he said it three times — and he said: 'The best type of fa'l (good omen) is the good word.'
