English Translation

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn 'Amr narrated to us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The imam is appointed to be followed. So when he says the takbir, say the takbir. When he bows, bow. When he says "Sami'a Allahu liman hamidah," say "Rabbana lakal-hamd." And if he prays sitting, then pray sitting, all of you.'
