English Translation
'Affan narrated to us: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us: al-'Abbas al-Jurayri narrated to us, who said: I heard Abu 'Uthman al-Nahdi saying: I was a guest of Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) for seven days. He said: I heard him say: the Prophet ﷺ distributed dates among his companions, and I received seven dates, one of which was a dried-up date. Nothing was more beloved to me than it, for it strengthened my chewing.
